Doretha Terri Peters, 77, of Los Angeles, California died unexpectedly on March 8th 2022. Terri’s loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Doretha Terri Peters was born on April 1, 1944 in Oakdale, Louisiana. She attended the historical Allen Parish High School in Oakdale, Louisiana and after graduating high school, she moved to California, completed nursing school, and married Lewis Peters. She is survived by one son. She worked for the County of Los Angeles, California Board of Supervisors for over 30 years. Anyone who knew Terri knew that she was full of life, loving, caring, & feisty. She had an immense passion for music. Terri’s family and friends will miss her more than words can say. There will be a funeral service that will be announced at a later day. She is survived by her only child Brett Peters and his wife Angela Peters, her grandchildren Micah Peters, Bree Peters, Brett Peters Jr., Alvin (Marie) Curry, & Lamar (Raylene) Curry. Her sisters Beatrice Alma Griggs (Brooklyn, NY) and Helen Whitaker (Mack) of Texas City, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Roscoe & Libby Hall, her sister Pearl Parris, her brother Herbert “DOC” Hall, and nephew James Earl Davis.
